Terms of Service

1. Introduction and Legal Information

1.1 About Bridge PDF

Bridge PDF is a document sharing and analytics platform operated by:

1.2 Scope

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and E1 ("Bridge PDF," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your access to and use of the Bridge PDF platform, including all features, services, and subscriptions.

These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are an integral part of this agreement.

2. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

  • Account: Your registered user account on Bridge PDF.

  • Document: Any PDF file or document you upload to the Service.

  • Lead: A visitor who provides contact information (email, phone, or custom form data) before accessing a shared document.

  • Service: The Bridge PDF platform, including the website, application, and all related features.

  • Shared Link: A unique URL generated to share a Document with third parties.

  • Subscription: A paid plan providing access to premium features.

  • Tenant: An organization or billing account that owns Documents and manages Users.

  • Team: A group of Users within a Tenant.

  • User: Any individual with an Account on the Service.

  • Visitor: Any person who views a Document via a Shared Link.

3. Acceptance of Terms

3.1 Agreement to Terms

By creating an Account, accessing the Service, or subscribing to a plan, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

3.2 Business Use Only

Bridge PDF is designed for business and professional use only (B2B). By using the Service, you represent that:

  • You are acting on behalf of a business, organization, or in a professional capacity.

  • You are at least 16 years of age.

  • You have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of your organization (if applicable).

3.3 Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time:

  • Minor changes: Take effect immediately upon posting.

  • Material changes: We will provide at least 30 days' notice via email before they take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service before the effective date.

4. Service Description

4.1 Core Features

Bridge PDF provides:

  • Document hosting: Secure upload and storage of PDF documents.

  • Secure sharing: Generate Shared Links with optional access controls (passwords, email capture, agreements, splash pages).

  • Analytics: Track visitor engagement including page views, time spent, device information, and geographic location.

  • Lead capture: Collect visitor information through customizable forms.

  • Team collaboration: Manage multiple users and teams within your organization.

4.2 Subscription Plans

We offer the following subscription tiers:

4.3 Feature Availability

Certain features are only available on specific plans:

  • Demo: Limited functionality; documents cannot be shared externally.

  • Launch/Scale/Enterprise: Full document sharing capabilities.

  • Scale/Enterprise only: Custom domains, webhooks, analytics export.

  • Enterprise only: Custom integrations, dedicated support, custom data retention, Data Processing Agreement (DPA).

4.4 Data Retention by Plan

Analytics data is retained based on your subscription:

5. Account Registration and Security

5.1 Account Creation

To use the Service, you must create an Account by providing:

  • A valid email address

  • Your name

  • A secure password

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it as necessary.

5.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

  • All activities that occur under your Account.

  • Immediately notifying us at support@bridgepdf.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

We recommend enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA) for enhanced security.

5.3 Multi-Tenant Structure

Bridge PDF uses a multi-tenant architecture:

  • Tenant: The top-level billing entity (your organization).

  • Teams: Groups within a Tenant for organizing documents and users.

  • Users: Individual accounts within a Tenant.

Tenant administrators are responsible for managing team members and their access levels.

6. Subscription and Billing

6.1 Billing Currency and Payment

  • All prices are in US Dollars (USD).

  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

  • We accept credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods supported by Stripe.

  • Applicable taxes are calculated and displayed at checkout.

6.2 Subscription Term

  • Subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis.

  • The minimum commitment is one (1) month.

  • Subscriptions begin on the date of purchase and continue until cancelled.

6.3 Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You will be charged the then-current rate for your plan.

6.4 Price Changes

  • We may change subscription prices at any time.

  • Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing period.

  • We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increase.

6.5 Failed Payments

If a payment fails:

  1. We will notify you via email.

  2. We will retry the payment according to Stripe's retry schedule.

  3. If payment continues to fail, your account may be suspended.

  4. After extended non-payment, your account may be terminated.

6.6 Invoices

Invoices are generated automatically and available in your account dashboard. Copies are also sent to your registered email address.

7. Refunds and Cancellation

7.1 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions:

  • If you are not satisfied within 14 days of your first paid subscription, you may request a full refund.

  • No questions asked.

  • To request a refund, contact support@bridgepdf.com.

This guarantee applies to new subscriptions only and does not apply to renewals.

7.2 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through:

7.3 Effect of Cancellation

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

  • You retain access to all features until the end of the period you have paid for.

  • No partial refunds are provided for unused time (except under the 14-day guarantee).

  • After your subscription ends, your account will be downgraded to the Demo plan (if available) or suspended.

7.4 Downgrades

If you downgrade to a lower plan:

  • The change takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

  • Features exclusive to your previous plan will become unavailable.

  • Documents exceeding your new plan's limits will remain accessible but you cannot create new ones until within limits.

8. User Responsibilities

8.1 Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all Documents and content you upload to the Service. Bridge PDF does not claim any ownership rights over your content.

8.2 License Grant

By uploading content, you grant Bridge PDF a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to:

  • Store, host, and backup your Documents.

  • Process your Documents (e.g., generate thumbnails, extract page counts).

  • Display your Documents to authorized Visitors via Shared Links.

  • Provide analytics about Document engagement.

This license exists solely to provide the Service and terminates when you delete your content or close your account.

8.3 Prohibited Content

You agree not to upload, share, or distribute content that:

  • Is illegal, fraudulent, or violates any applicable law.

  • Contains malware, viruses, or malicious code.

  • Infringes on intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark, patents).

  • Is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit.

  • Promotes violence, discrimination, or hate speech.

  • Contains personal data of third parties without proper consent.

  • Violates export control or sanctions laws.

  • Is spam, phishing, or unsolicited commercial content.

8.4 Content Responsibility

  • You are solely responsible for the content you upload and share.

  • Bridge PDF does not pre-screen or monitor uploaded content.

  • We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

  • You must ensure you have all necessary rights to share your Documents.

8.5 Visitor Tracking Disclosure

When you share Documents with tracking enabled:

  • Bridge PDF collects analytics data from Visitors (see Privacy Policy for details).

  • Bridge PDF provides consent mechanisms to Visitors.

  • You may optionally add consent fields to lead capture forms.

  • You should inform your Visitors about tracking in your communications when appropriate.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Bridge PDF Property

The Service, including its software, design, features, logos, and documentation, is owned by E1 and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service.

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.

  • Remove any copyright or proprietary notices.

  • Use our trademarks without written permission.

9.2 Your Documents

As stated in Section 8.1, you retain full ownership of your Documents. We claim no intellectual property rights over content you upload.

9.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate such feedback without obligation to you.

10. Intellectual Property Claims (DMCA)

10.1 Reporting Infringement

If you believe content on Bridge PDF infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at support@bridgepdf.com with:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work or trademark.

  • Identification of the infringing material and its location.

  • Your contact information.

  • A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized.

  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate.

  • Your physical or electronic signature.

10.2 Investigation Process

We investigate all valid claims:

  • We will review the complaint and may contact the content owner.

  • We may temporarily restrict access to the content during investigation.

  • If infringement is confirmed, the content will be removed.

  • Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.

10.3 Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was wrongly removed, you may submit a counter-notification with:

  • Identification of the removed content.

  • A statement under penalty of perjury that removal was in error.

  • Your consent to jurisdiction of the courts.

  • Your contact information and signature.

11. Third-Party Services

11.1 Infrastructure Services

Bridge PDF uses the following third-party services to operate:

11.2 User-Configurable Integrations (Scale/Enterprise)

Users on Scale and Enterprise plans can connect Bridge PDF to external services to receive notifications and sync data. Available integrations include:

11.2.1 Data Shared with Integrations

When you enable integrations, the following data may be transmitted to third-party services:

Notification Services (Slack, Teams):

  • Visitor name and email (if captured)

  • Document name

  • Visit timestamp

  • Configurable event triggers

CRM Integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive):

  • Lead contact information (email, name, phone)

  • Document metadata when creating links from CRM

Automation Services (Zapier, Webhooks): Events that can trigger data transmission:

  • Document created/deleted

  • Shared link created

  • Visit created

  • User created/deleted

11.2.2 Integration Configuration

  • One configuration per integration: You may configure one instance of each integration type.

  • Authentication: Integrations use OAuth or API keys, stored encrypted in our database.

  • User responsibility: You are responsible for properly configuring integrations and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

11.2.3 Data Handling

  • Data is transmitted to integrations without filtering or masking—all configured data fields are sent as-is.

  • Data already sent remains in the third-party service after disconnection. You must manually delete data from third-party services if required.

  • Bridge PDF is not responsible for how third-party services handle, store, or process data after transmission.

11.3 Chrome Extension (Gmail Integration)

The Bridge PDF Chrome extension for Gmail:

  • Access scope: Only accesses PDF attachments that you explicitly select.

  • Functionality: Allows creating Bridge PDF documents directly from Gmail attachments and inserting shared links into emails.

  • No email content access: The extension does not read email content, only handles attachments you choose to upload.

11.4 Third-Party Terms

Your use of integrations is subject to the terms and privacy policies of the respective third-party services:

We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their handling of your data.

11.5 Webhooks

If you configure custom webhooks, you are responsible for:

  • The security of your webhook endpoints.

  • Handling webhook data in compliance with applicable laws.

  • Any actions taken by your systems in response to webhooks.

  • Ensuring your endpoints can handle the volume of events.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

12.1 "As Is" Service

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability.

  • Fitness for a particular purpose.

  • Non-infringement.

  • Accuracy or completeness of content.

12.2 No Uptime Guarantee

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee any specific uptime or service level. The Service may be unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled or emergency maintenance.

  • Technical failures or outages.

  • Factors beyond our control (force majeure).

12.3 Third-Party Content

We do not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any content shared by Users or any third-party services.

13. Limitation of Liability

13.1 Liability Cap

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRIDGE PDF'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

13.2 Exclusion of Damages

IN NO EVENT SHALL BRIDGE PDF BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities.

  • Cost of procuring substitute services.

  • Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account.

  • Damages resulting from third-party conduct.

13.3 Exceptions

These limitations do not apply to:

  • Liability that cannot be excluded by law.

  • Fraud or intentional misconduct.

  • Breach of confidentiality obligations.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bridge PDF and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service.

  • Content you upload or share.

  • Your violation of these Terms.

  • Your violation of any third-party rights.

  • Your violation of applicable laws.

15. Termination

15.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your Account at any time by:

We may suspend or terminate your Account if you:

  • Violate these Terms.

  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity.

  • Fail to pay subscription fees.

  • Abuse the Service or other users.

15.3 Grace Period for Violations

  • Minor violations: We will notify you and provide an opportunity to cure (typically 30 days).

  • Severe violations (illegal content, fraud, malware): Immediate termination without notice.

15.4 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Service will be revoked.

  • Your Documents and data will be deleted immediately.

  • Active Shared Links will become inaccessible.

  • No refund is provided for the remaining subscription period (unless under the 14-day guarantee).

15.5 Survival

Sections relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution survive termination.

16. Dispute Resolution

16.1 Informal Resolution

Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at support@bridgepdf.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will respond within 30 days.

16.2 Mediation

If informal resolution fails, disputes shall first be submitted to mediation conducted by an accredited mediator in Lyon, France. Mediation costs are shared equally unless otherwise agreed.

16.3 Jurisdiction

If mediation fails, disputes shall be resolved by the commercial courts of Lyon, France (Tribunal de Commerce de Lyon).

16.4 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16.5 Time Limitation

Any claim must be brought within one (1) year of the event giving rise to the claim, or the claim is waived.

17. General Provisions

17.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Bridge PDF regarding the Service.

17.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

17.3 Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

17.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

17.5 Force Majeure

Bridge PDF is not liable for delays or failures resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, labor disputes, government actions, or internet outages.

17.6 Language

These Terms are provided in English. In the event of any conflict between translated versions, the English version prevails.

17.7 Headings

Section headings are for convenience only and have no legal effect.
